Starlings

This is a local landmark in Dumfries called the Midsteeple. There is a clock behind the image in the foreground. Main support beams in the tower were rotten and were replaced. Work in still going on at the other side replacing sandstone steps. When I took the picture it was quite comical, all the Starling were jostling for best position. Some would land only to be knocked off by the next bird coming in. I don't think there was one that keep its 'roost' for five minutes.
