Song Thrush

I haven't had a Song Thrush in the garden for many a year until 2008. Then a female brought two chicks for a very brief visit. When I say brief, I mean she and one chick flew off not long after arriving leaving the other chick o my rockery. It called a few times without success in attracting its mother back and eventually flew away as well. Since then I have had a couple of visits from other adult Song Thrushes. This is a picture of the latest one, a handsome beast if I do say so. Song Thrushes mainlt feed under my hedge or in the rockery but like this one they will occasionally come onto the grass for seeds dropped from the Bird Table. I hope the Song Thrush becomes more regular a visitor than it is at present, always beautiful and striking to look at.
