Heron Its Cold Outside
I was out for my usual walk along the riverside taking my camera with me. There was a fair bit of snow on the ground and not too bright over-head. This was way back in January this year. I did expect to see some Robins, Blackbird and Chaffies along the hedgerow as they are usually plentiful and with the snow may get an interesting photo. However I was quite disappointed as ther said wildlife appeared to be cuddled up somewhere out of the cold. Suddenly as I was rounding a bend on the riverside path this beauty came into view. I managed to get within about forty feet (didn't want to scare it off) and started taking some photos. This is probably the best of the bunch and I really do like it.
